You’re unique and wonderful. Yes, right now, as you are. At any age, size, or shape, you’re worth celebrating with portraits, and I’m delighted that you’re considering me to help you do that! I have more than ten years of experience working with people of every race, size, age, and gender, and it’s important to me to provide a space that is inclusive, a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. As a queer woman I don’t fit into one narrow idea of what’s sexy, and I won’t limit you with a style that doesn’t thrill you!

The most common reason people give for putting off booking a photo session is that they don’t feel good about their body as-is. But you and your current body are great, gorgeous, and worthy of commemoration. I haven’t even seen you yet and I’m sure of it. Come enjoy a luxurious low-pressure experience that celebrates who you are right now, instead of worrying over who you’re not.

My intimate home studio is an eclectic curated mix of vintage and modern, light and dark boho accents, and lovingly tended plants. It offers a variety of moods and intimate backdrops–sofas, chairs, beds, floors, doors, and more–because I don’t believe in limiting people to just one notion of what’s sensual or empowering.

It’s my goal to give you an enjoyable, empowering, and luxurious experience that you’ll fondly recall, and some beautiful heirloom albums and prints to remember with. You can share with your partners, too, but this is really about you, babe!

Boudoir Session Experience: What to Expect

First Steps

We’ll start with a consultation via phone or email to get to know one another! I want to know what makes you you, so I can craft a unique, personalized boudoir session experience with results you’re going to treasure forever.

Once I’ve answered all your questions, we’re ready to schedule a session! I’ll send an invoice for the collection you choose (which includes a non-refundable session fee) and the session contract, and once your payment is received, your date is reserved for you and a hair and makeup artist is booked. I’ve also got a prep guide to help take the stress out of your session and let you feel prepared and excited.

Purchasing collections, and prepayment: Why prepay? It’s great for you because at your image reveal you have fewer decisions to make, you just pick your photos and know everything is paid for, unless you choose to upgrade or add on! I also offer bonus sets and special incentives to people who choose to pay in full. The incentives are always changing, but include things like exclusive designer wardrobe items, special themes like shower sets, or a free future session fee voucher, because you’re going to want to come back again!

Your Boudoir Session Experience

The day of your session, hair and makeup will take between 1 and 1.5 hours. We’ll pick your outfits together and get to work! The photo and video portion of the session will last approximately 30 minutes; your total time with me will be between 2 and 2.5 hours. You’ll love the way you look, but more importantly you’ll love the way you feel. Before you leave, we’ll schedule your reveal; most reveals are done remotely via video chat.

Choosing Your Keepsakes

The reveal: I’ll remove any duplicates and bad frames from your collection and show you the best images with some light color management and cropping. You’ll pick your favorites (the quantity will vary based on your collection and add-on choices), sign off on your choices, and pay for anything beyond your prepayment. Then I’ll get to work finalizing everything for print and delivery.

Retouching: every final image will be polished—I want you to shine! It’s my goal to help you look your best, like you got a full night’s sleep and you’re staying hydrated and found a moisturizer your skin really likes, but not make you look like a different person! If you prefer to go bare and unretouched, that’s fine too; the photos will still have a little light editing to match my signature style but I will leave you perfect as-is.

Once you’ve made your selections it can take 4-6 weeks to fulfill your order. I design the album(s) and products and order them from the lab, they get shipped to me for a quality check and packaged for you. It’s your choice to have everything shipped to you or to make a pickup appointment–I love seeing people open their albums for the first time!

Congratulations! You’ve done something bold and vulnerable, and now you have a beautiful heirloom collection to help you remember a special day you chose to celebrate this time in your life.

Anything else?

Your privacy and comfort matter. This is a really intimate business and trust is important. You may sign a model release that allows me to share your photos if you’d like, but there are no charges or penalties if you prefer to keep them private. If you choose to allow your photos to be shared, you’ll never be named or tagged unless you specifically request it.
